Jake Gyllenhaal fascinated by the concept of time in "Source Code"

Jake Gyllenhaal in SFX magazine, May 2011

"I think if I was in that situation, I would call my family and it wouldn't be to apologise but it would be, hopefully, to have a good laugh. To hear them laugh because I love that with my family," he says. "And if that eight minutes came right now, I'd be, 'Sorry I got to go. I'm gonna have to cut our interview short".

Jake Gyllenhaal in Total Film magazine

"I'm fascinated by the concept of time. I really love mining that stuff," says the actor. "For me this movie, philosophically, is a representation of the idea that we have little births and little deaths every day. If we pay attention to them we can grow."

With his striking big blue eyes and chiselled leading-man features, he could have been just another pretty boy. But, determined to escape typecasting, he took on a string of diverse roles with The Good Girl, Moonlight Mile, Jarhead, Zodiac and Proof and also tried his hand at big bucks blockbusters Prince of Persia and The Day After Tomorrow.

"What I believe about love is that, whether it's with your family, whether it's with somebody you fall in love with and have a relationship with, your partner or whatever, it's all about being seen. It's all about someone saying 'I see you, I see who you are, I love who you are, I appreciate who you are'," says the actor whose status is currently single.
At just 30 years old, Gyllenhaal has already made more than 20 films while Duncan Jones, the director of Source Code, was in the director's seat for only his second time after his dazzling debut Moon wooed the collective heart of Hollywood.

"As giddy and innocent as Duncan is in his press, which I think is genuine and very wonderful and positive," ventures Gyllenhaal, "when he's on set he reminds me of someone like Ang Lee. He's quiet, he hardly says a word.
He's strangely confident in this way where he allows people to be themselves and then ultimately you realise you're in his vortex. "He really empowers his actors. I responded to his confidence as a visionary with Moon; I could feel it in that movie. And because I also have a certain amount of experience there was a real camaraderie between the two of us". Kelly Preston and Lindsay Lohan in "Gotti: Three Generations"

"Charlie Sheen is putting a new spin on the story that he accidently shot then-fiancee Kelly Preston in the arm back in 1990. The actor told fans in Vancouver on Monday during his "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option" tour that Preston is the one who caused the gun to fire, and that he had nothing to do with it.

Charlie Sheen and Kelly Preston attend the screening of 'Road House' on May 25, 1989 at Mann Village Theater in Westwood, California.

Sheen said that he was downstairs making coffee when the incident happened.
"I thought she was still asleep upstairs," he told the crowd. "And I heard a f-----g gunshot go off. I thought, 'She did it, she finally f-----g did it," he told the crowd. "She killed herself and they're going to f-----g blame me.'"
Sheen explained that Preston had picked up a pair of his pants in the bathroom when a revolver that was hidden in the pocket fell to the ground and discharged. The bullet hit the toilet, he said, and Preston "got hit with shrapnel from the toilet bowl".
"I come around the corner and there's naked Kelly Preston at the top of the stairs, holding her wrist, staring at me, covered in blood, and I thought, that's pretty f-----g hot", Sheen said, quickly adding that he didn't actually think that. At the time, the actor admitted, he knew he'd be blamed for the incident". Source: www.cbsnews.com

Kelly Preston and John Travolta first met on the set of "The Experts" (1989) and later married.

Kelly Preston as Bonnie in The Experts (1989)

"Fiore Films has confirmed that Kelly Preston will join her real-life husband John Travolta, who plays John Gotti Sr., as his onscreen wife. Victoria Gotti, in "Gotti: Three Generations".
And not only that – their real-life daughter, Ella Bleu, 11, will play their on-screen daughter, Angel Gotti. Steve Honig, a spokesman for the production company, says of Preston, 48: "She's a terrific actress, and she can really do the role justice."

Adds Marc Fiore, the movie's producer: "The love and passion between John and Kelly ... will bring a huge benefit to John Sr. and his wife, and to tell you the truth, they have a lot in common. They both lost a child at a young age and they understand what the Gottis went thru when the Gottis lost their child." Source: www.people.com

"Lindsay Lohan will not play Victoria Gotti as had originally been reported. Instead, she will play Kim Gotti, the wife of John Gotti Jr., in the flick, which stars John Travolta.
Fiore calls the Kim character "a very important role" and says Lohan is "very excited about the part". Source: www.people.com

Jake Gyllenhaal compares dating to being “blown up”

Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway as Jamie and Maggie in "Love & other drugs" (2010) directed by Edward Zwick

"The actor talked about his role in new movie Source Code and joked that being in mortal danger is just as nerve-wracking as inviting a girl out on a date.
Jake plays a soldier who has only eight minutes stop a terrorist from launching an explosion on a train that will destroy a whole city centre. Luckily he can relive those minutes time and time again until he has found the solution.
“He’s just a guy asking a girl out for coffee. He gets blown up a couple of times in the process. But that’s what it feels like when you have to ask someone you’re into out,” the 30-year-old quipped.
Jake, who has been linked to country singer Taylor Swift recently, also talked about his unlady-like co-star Michelle Monaghan.
He claimed that the actress equals him with her dirty sense of humour, but didn’t reveal whether this is an ability that he admires or that puts him off". Source: www.musicrooms.net

Malin Akerman joins "Rock of Ages" with Tom Cruise

"Deadline reports that Malin Akerman has joined the film in the role of a journalist doing a piece on Tom Cruise‘s character, Stacee Jaxx, and winds up sleeping with him and together they will sing Foreigner‘s “I Want To Know What Love Is.”
Akerman joins an ensemble that includes Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta as the leads, Paul Giamatti as Jaxx’s manager, Mary J. Blige as Justice Charlier, the owner of a strip club, Russell Brand as Lonnie, the manager of rock club The Bourbon, Alec Baldwin as the owner of the same, Catherine Zeta-Jones as the villainess and Bryan Cranston as her husband and mayor of L.A. The musical will go in front of cameras this month with a release date of June 1, 2012 already set.

The role in the film is a small, but important one—offers had previously gone out to Amy Adams and Anne Hathaway—but it may still leave time for Akerman to possibly lens the Linda Lovelace biopic “Inferno” this summer. Director Matthew Wilder recently told 24 Frames that financing and casting should be closing soon with a start date hopefully happening within the next few months". Source: blogs.indiewire.com

Unlikely couples, Likely couples, Sexy couples

"Whether they turn you on or make you uncomfortable, the following 2010 sex scenes are all pretty unforgettable.

“Love and Other Drugs” This movie pairs Anne Hathaway with Jake Gyllenhaal. They play an unlikely couple who find their casual affair turning into much more. Along the way, they get naked quite a lot and star in the some of the best Hollywood movie scenes of 2010.
“Chloe” Amanda Seyfried sizzles on screen as a call girl sent by a wife to seduce her husband. Things turn deadly very quickly, and Seyfried sheds all of her clothes while appearing in a hot Hollywood movie sex scene.
“Greenberg” Another film that fits into the awkward category, “Greenberg” contains a very memorable sex scene between Ben Stiller and Greta Gerwig. Stiller attempts to pleasure Gerwig, but all fails.
“Blue Valentine” This heart-wrenching 2010 film stars Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling. They play a couple who attempt to salvage their marriage to little effect. They share both romantic and tragic sex scenes throughout the movie". Source: www.bestmydreams.com
